The Church is God's instrument for spreading hope and holiness everywhere and to everyone. We purpose to do this through compassionate service, faithful voices, and holy lives that make God's love real to others.
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:
There are many ways to serve here at Brooksville Wesleyan Church. If you are passionate about any of the following areas, please contact and let us know how you'd like to get involved by emailing us at email@example.com.
Worship and Creative Arts
Do you have the heart for helping people experience God through music, drama, creative arts, or with special skills? We encourage and want to help you explore ways that you can serve Christ through your creative skills, musical talents, and technical knowledge.
Youth and Young Adult Ministries
Do you connect well with middle and high school students and want to help them grow in their faith in God? Do you have an idea to help college-aged students and post-college adults continue to follow God? You might make a great youth sponsor or mentor to some of the young people in our church.
Adult and Senior Ministries
There are many different things you can do to connect with adults and seniors at our church. There's a women's ministry, men's group, prayer groups, and much more. Let us know if there's a specific way you'd like to serve in this area.
Our church is involved with mission trips, supports local organizations, supports global missionaries, and is actively involved with service projects in our community. Do you have an idea for a service project? Are you looking to help God's global mission? Let us know!
One thing that we try to focus on is being a church that cares. There are many people that offer rides to and from church activities and service projects. There are groups of people that make it their priority to greet people and learn their name. Do you enjoy connecting with people and making people feel like they're among friends? You might be a great help to our First Impressions team. We'd love to know how you can make our church an even more caring community.
Do you spend a lot of time in prayer? Do you believe that praying to God can make lives new? Consider becoming a prayer chaplain or prayer partner. You can also join a prayer group or be a part of an email prayer team. How can you get involved with praying for our church and community?
Do you have leadership skills that you might be able to use to serve God, our church, and our community? We are always looking for people to help coordinate special projects, events, and ministries. There are also opportunities to serve on church boards and committees. We even welcome office volunteers to help our pastoral staff stay organized and focused. Let us know if you want to serve in any of these roles.
Our church has a variety of group gatherings—small and large—that are focused on teaching and learning: growth groups, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, children's ministry, youth group, and more. We are also on the lookout for marriage mentors and discipleship mentors (one-on-one relationships). We'd love to hear from you if you are interested in teaching in any way.
Compassion and Helping Others
There are countless ways that people in our church help others and show compassion. Here are just a few of the specific things that our church does: hospital visits, in-home visits, ministry to widows, funeral meals, nursing home visits, meals for shut ins, and handyman work for people who are not able to do the work themselves. Are you interested in helping in any of these ways? Is there something you want to do to help other people that we can help you with? Let us know!
We offer a variety of support groups such as GriefShare, CareGivers, Overcomers (sexual abuse recovery), and addiction recovery. Whether this is a group you need to attend or an area where you would like to help lead, you're invited to explore how you can get involved.
Please contact us if there is a specific way that you would like to get involved and serve God with your time and talents: firstname.lastname@example.org.
